It is dedicated to raising funds to benefit some of the most desperately poor, underprivileged kids on earth, those who live in the shanty-town slums of Joe Slovo, Gamalartjie and Thabo Mbeki "informal settlements", the shanty-town slums on the outskirts of Johannesburg, South Africa.

 

580 of these kids attend the Blair Atholl Schools. Here principal Niki Everitt, and her dedicated team, offer a contrast to the daily horror of their home lives. They teach basic education, as well, as music, art, even computers. Yet the school cannot access the Internet. Why? They have insufficient funds.
